The Executive Chairman of Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, Barr. Steve Emenike Nwankpa has yet again fulfilled the Policy Thrust of his Administration as regarding Hunan Capital Development.

According to him, every investment you make in improving the course of humanity can never be in vain but would rather come back to you as a lasting dividend and profitable investment.

Disclosing this in a statement, the Chairman of Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, who paid an unscheduled visit to the Nursery and Primary section of John Calvin Secondary School, Offianka in Izzi LGA, stated that he decided to increase the number of school children under his scholarship scheme, in order to assist struggling parents in the training of their children in School.

“Just yesterday while I was at John Calvin secondary school Offianka in Izzi LGA to pay school fees for those on my scholarship scheme, I had to pay an unscheduled visit to the Nursery and Primary sections of the school.

“I discovered that about 28 indigent pupils were unable to pay fees and uniforms. And so I quickly paid for their uniforms and granted them scholarships too.”

He pointed out that children being the future of our generation needed to be educationally empowered to succeed.

“We need to complement the efforts of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru in the Educational sector. He has done marvelously well and so, those of us at the rural level needed to make sure that such Initiative of the Governor was stepped down within the confines or parameters of our rural setting.

“The Executive Governor of Ebonyi State needs to be encouraged and supported and that’s exactly what we came here to do.

Still within the axis of Offianka community, the Council boss of Izzi L.G.A took over the welfare of two children whose parents had long passed on.

“Two of those kids lost their parents and their poor grandmothers are the one taking care of them. This is daycare. We have taken over too.

“Our mission, among others is to better the lot of our people. We need to make them feel the noticeable impact of the present administration and this is what we will keep doing as God gives us the grace and vision to do more.”
