Cleric urges Nigerians to pray for successful fight against corruption

The General Overseer and founder of Ogo Sioni Aladura Ministries International, Baba Aladura Olorunfemi Ejide, has called on Nigerians to pray fervently for the present administration to succeed in the fight against corruption which he claimed is a cankerworm that has eaten deep into the fabric of the nation.

Giving this charge at the 37th anniversary and annual harvest thanksgiving of the church tagged “Unspeakable joy”, Ejide predicted that the year 2018 is going to be one of the best years in the history of Nigeria as he claimed that things will be put in the right place.

While thanking God for putting President Buhari at the helms of affairs in the country, the cleric said the year 2018 will usher in new as well as good things in the life of the nation.

“We have to thank God that he gave us someone like President Muhamadu Buhari who happens to be a disciplinarian. If not for this man, things would have been a lot worse in the country. God really blessed us with a man like Buhari. 2018 is going to be one of the best years in the life of our country; there may be crises in the country now, but I am sure that with what God has told me that 2018 will be a good year for us”, he said.

Speaking further on the fight against corruption, the cleric commended the present administration, adding that they have lots of challenges to tackle concerning the country.

“Fighting corruption is not an easy task. As a clergy man and a comrade too, I have been to the United Nation twice this year to talk about this country. To be sincere, Buhari is trying; things are not like they were the first time he ruled the country. We have to commend him because he is now a democrat. We all know that there are lots of challenges in the country; from the South-south, North-east, North-central southeast, you name it.

Ejide noted that first among the signs of good things to come in the New Year is the improvement in power supply.

“We have seen great improvement in power supply and I believe by the first quarter of 2018, there will be stable power supply in the country.

The cleric also predicted that there will be surplus food for citizens to consume in the country come 2018.

He also advised those travelling to celebrate the Yuletide in their respective home towns to be prayerful, adding that at a season like this, the Satan is always at work and on the prowl for whom to devour.

Also speaking on the occasion, Oba of Isoya Kingdom, Ile-Ife, HRM Oba Muraina Adedini assured Nigerians that if they depend on God and not man, God will provide of all that they need to sustain themselves in the Yuletide season and beyond.

Nigerians have been struggling trying to make ends meet. I urge them to depend on God to guide and provide all they need. I pray that God will bestow his blessings upon us the nation and citizens”, he prayed.
