Christian crusader Kadzai, lauds FG as inflation rate drops

The Co-Chairman, Interfaith Coalition Conference, Engr. Daniel Kadzai, has lauded the federal government led by President Bala Amed Tinubu, for working hard to stabilize the economy which has recorded a significant drop in the inflation rate of the Country.

Kadzai, who is also a former Youth President Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), highlighted measures put in place by the federal government that guaranteed the drop in the rise of inflation.

He said the introduction of the CNG vehicles powered by Compressed Natural Gas was one of the initiatives of the federal government that stimulated economic growth in the area of transportation which is a major economic drive in moving goods, crops and services to the doorstep of consumers.

Recall that the government has actively promoted the adoption of CNG as an alternative to petrol and diesel, particularly through the Presidential CNG Initiative (Pi-CNG).

This initiative aims to leverage Nigeria’s abundant natural gas reserves to reduce fuel costs, improve air quality, and enhance energy independence, our correspondent reports.

Speaking to our correspondent on Monday the Christian leader who has been vocal in the reform of the country said rather than discouraging the government in its pursuit for a better Nigeria, it is incumbent for Christians to pray for the nation and leaders just as the Bible demands.

He said corn, which is a raw material for most industries used in the production of various types of cereals and also consumed locally by most Nigerians, has also recorded a significant fall in price in recent times.

Recall that last Friday, Nigeria’s headline inflation rate for July fell to 21.8 per cent as compared to June, which stood at 22.22 per cent, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) had said.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) had also reported that the nation has experienced four consecutive drops in inflation in the year.

”Headline inflation rate in July 2025 was 1.99 per cent, which was 0.31 per cent higher than the rate recorded in June 2025 (1.68 per cent),” the report read.

“July’s inflation rate eased to 3.12 per cent, as compared to the previous month”, our correspondent said.
