Capturing of Terrorist Kingpins, Nigeria Youths Commend Gallant Soldiers

We, the Coalition of Youth Leaders of Nigeria, wish to express our profound appreciation and commendation to the Nigerian military for their unwavering professionalism, resilience, and dedication to duty.

Under the exemplary leadership of the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, and the service chiefs and theater commander, the military has demonstrated an unrelenting commitment to eradicating terrorism and curbing illegal activities across the country.

The recent capture of wanted terrorists, including a known arms dealer, Shehu Bagiwaye, in separate operations in Sokoto and Zamfara States, is a testament to the military’s unyielding resolve to protect Nigeria and its citizens. We also commend the successful rehabilitation and reintegration of 75 former terrorists, comprising seven adult males, 34 adult females, and 34 children, who were handed over to the Borno State Government.

Furthermore, the military’s efforts to combat oil theft and illegal refining activities have yielded significant results, with the arrest of 23 suspected oil thieves, recovery of stolen petroleum products worth ₦461.78 million, and destruction of 21 illegal refining sites.

We acknowledge the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, for his numerous achievements since assuming office. His leadership has been instrumental in chasing terrorists out of their hideouts, demolishing their formations, and rescuing Nigerians from the grip of terror.

As youth leaders, we recognize the importance of a secure and stable environment for the growth and development of our nation. We pledge our support to the Nigerian military and urge them to continue their gallant efforts in protecting our country.
