Businessman bathes wife with hot water after midnight quarrel in Delta

A businessman in Ibusa community, near Asaba Thursday allegedly bathed his wife, a mother of six children, with boiled water after their midnight quarrel.
Though, the man is currently helping the police at the Ibusa Police Division, the police Image Maker in the state, Mr. Andrew Aniamaka, who confirmed the incident to journalists, said the suspect upon interrogation confessed to the crime, saying he committed the act not “with his clear eyes.”
It was reliably gathered that the suspect and his wife prior to the incident, engaged in a serious quarrel during which they both rained insults on each other. But this, it was further gathered, did not go down well with the suspect (husband) who allegedly threatened to teach his wife bitter lessons of her life, a threat that was allegedly carried out in the early hours of the following day.
Not suspecting anything serious from her husband, the victim currently being treated in a private hospital (name withheld) in Asaba told journalists that she went to the corridor in their house to relax only for the husband to have dash out of the kitchen where he had been with a big ‘Kettle’ believed to have been boiled water and allegedly poured the water on his wife, leaving her with burns on her legs/stomach apart from the face.
