APC primaries: Lame, others allege plot to replace delegates

Some politicians seeking various positions under the All Progressives Congress, (APC) in Bauchi have raised the alarm that some elements within the party have embarked on doctoring the authentic list of delegates in the state.

In a press release signed by two governorship aspirants, Dr Yakubu Lame, Captain Bala Jibrin and two senatorial hopefuls Senator Mohammed A. Mohammed and Honourable Ibrahim Zailani, circulated among Journalists yesterday in Bauchi, they disclosed that such elements allegedly embarked on removing and replacing the authentic list of delegates recognized by the national headquarters of the party whom they suspect ‘will not do their bidding’.

“We the undersigned aspirants of various political positions under the auspices of our great party, the All Progressives Congress wish to bring to the attention of the people of Bauchi state and members of the APC that a reliable source has revealed to us that some unscrupulous elements within the party have embarked on doctoring the authentic list of delegates with a view to removing and replacing those they perceived will not do their bidding,” they said.
