Anambra FRSC to enforce speed limiters

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Anambra State Command, will commence enforcement of the use of speed limiter by motorists in the state
To this end motorists that failed to install speed limiter in their vehicles would be made to face the law as from October ist this year.
Speaking with Daily Times in Awka , the State commander Mr . Sunday Ajayi noted the awareness campaign have been on since this year adding that motorists were given up to till September for compliance.
Ajayi further announced that the command has intensified efforts in ensuring a safety Christmas celebration for this year noting that it has been partnering with fleet managers and stakeholders in the transportation industry in that regard.
“We have been making advocacy visit to churches , fleet operators as well as carrying out motor cade activities to ensure a safety Christmas season.
“Enforcement is also one of the pillars of the activities and objectives of the road safety corps. This has to a large extent reduced crime by fifteen percentage and fatality by twenty five percent.
“We have also embark on strategic enforcements in high risk road trafficv crash factor and it has made us achieve a level of improvement on last year’s efforts” he added.
