Amaechi, Ikedife, Ngige, Mbadinuju others charge Buhari on Governance.

Prominent Nigerians of Anambra State have expressed their respective desires for the President Elect, Gen Muhammadu Buhari to reflect positive changes in the governance of the country.

According to the first Republic Minister for Aviation, Chief Mbazurike Amaechi who spoke to Daily Times “while congratulating Buhari, INEC and the entire Nigerians over the conduct of a peaceful election, I urge the Presidency Elect to reflect changes in the country which has been the slogan of the APC. We need change in the area of basic infrastructure and power supply as well as a fight against corruption and insecurity.

“In the past there have been large scale corruption in governance and we have experienced unemployment due to poor power supply that led to the killing of our industries. Buhari must have to tackle the issue of insecurity and rekindled the confidence of Nigerians that government has the constitutional powers to protect its citizens”

Also former Ohaneze Ndigbo, President General Dr Dozie Ikedife called for equity in the power sharing among the zones in Nigeria adding that since the zone gave him support it is reciprocal for him to remember the South East in his scheme of things.

“This is a new drawn for Nigeria and it is important that in coming President take into consideration the problems of the South East and to also ensure that our zone is not left out in the area of basic infrastructure . A similar thing should also be done across the six Geo political zones in the country in order to ensure equity in the country”

Former governors of Anambra State Dr Chinweoke Mbadinuju who recently dumped the peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the APC, and the South East Coordinator of APC Presidential Campaign Committee Sen Chris Ngige have described the victory of Buhari as a victory for the country’s democracy.

“It is possible for positive change to take place in Nigeria. Ngige noted that positive change is not just change in political batten but also in social values, attitudinal change and change in practice of government businesses”

“I urged the President Elect to remain consistent in the principles he is known for and which gave people confidence to vote for him.
Ngige in his congratulatory message to Buhari urged him to be magnanimous in victory and jettison anything that will distract his focus in building a new Nigeria and congratulated him for conceding defeat before the announcement of the final result.

Furthermore we wish to note that this recent development has gone to vindicate us the Igbos in the All Progressives Congress (APC) before our kit and kin’s in the South East on the need for us not to put our eggs in one basket.

Mbadinuju on his part noted that he has been vindicated by the victory of Buhari against the belief at several quarters that he made a mistake by dumping PDP.

‘’I knew it all the while and today I am vindicated, I urge Buhari to run a broad based government and ensure that his administration is all inclusive irrespective of religion, tribe and political party leanings. It is my belief that Buhari’s administration would heal the sickness of Nigeria Though running a God fearing government”.

“He has to look at the area of energy and federal presence in all parts of the country and also consider the demands of every Nigeria no matter how small or large the area they come from may appear to be.

Also senator Elect for Anambra Central District Mrs Uche Ekwunife called on the President Elect Gen . Mohammadu Buhari to be magnanimous in victory by seeing all parts of the country as his primary constituency and to consolidate of the already achieved gains of the outgoing administration.
