Air Peace to launch direct Abuja–London flights to Heathrow, Gatwick on October 26

Air Peace says it will begin direct flights from Abuja to London’s Heathrow and Gatwick airports on October 26, 2025 — becoming the first Nigerian airline to operate such routes from the nation’s capital.

In a statement released over the weekend, the airline said the flights would be operated with its Boeing 777 aircraft, and to mark the launch, return tickets will start at ₦1 million.

“The Journey just got bigger and even better. We’re not just flying to London, we’re giving you more of London,” the statement reads.

“Air Peace is now connecting Abuja to both Heathrow and Gatwick, expanding your options, your comfort, and your access to world-class travel.”

Allen Onyema, chairman of Air Peace, said the development reflects the airline’s continued desire for international expansion.

“We are thrilled to launch these direct services from Abuja to Heathrow and Gatwick, which reflects our dedication to expanding international access for our valued customers,” he said.

The new service will enable passengers from cities such as Enugu, Kano, Port Harcourt, Owerri, and Asaba to connect through Abuja to London on a single ticket.

According to the airline, this eliminates the need for multiple bookings and baggage re-checks.

Air Peace added that the route will help boost trade, tourism, and cultural ties between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.

Tickets for the new flights are available via the airline’s website and authorised travel agents across the country.
