Agency partners Abuja Film Village, commences internship scheme for graduates

A consulting training agency, MAISA Legado Ltd in collaboration with Abuja Film Village and National Youth service Corps said it is prepared to develop the capacity of 10,000 graduates through internship scheme.
Speaking in Abuja, last week, the Programme Director, Miss Nnenna Iwuanyanwu, said the collaboration included other partners including, the Airtel Network Ltd, Larclux Paint and Chemicals Ltd, Pay Connect and Base Asset Investment Limited.
The scheme tagged “MAISA Young Professional Internship Scheme” was designed to breach the gap between the skill requirement of the work place and the quality of graduates in the country.
Iwuanyanwu also said the scheme would reduce unemployment and ensure implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) as well as African Union Agenda 2063.
“We will develop the capacity of 10,000 graduates, equipping them with the skills and expertise needed in the labor market”.
The program scheduled to commence with a week intensive training followed by another week of one on one training to identify individual talent and strength of participants will commence on 14 to 25 November 2016.
“After this period, the interns would be evaluated and posted to choice organizations if they pass the evaluation test. The interns would have the opportunity to be trained and attached to above listed firms and organizations where they would work for a period of six months and earn a monthly stipend. This will better equip them to gain experience as well as employment from reputable firms,” she said.
