Abdulrasaq’s Death Great Loss To Nigerian Progressives Community – APC Govs

The All Progressives Congress (APC) governors have described the death of Alhaji Abdulganiyu Folorunsho Abdulrazaq SAN (OFR) as a great loss to the community of progressive politicians in the country.

Daily Times gathered that the late legal icon was the patriarch of the Abdulrazaq Emirate of Ilorin and father to the governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

He died in Abuja in the early hours of today (Saturday) at a ripe age of 93.

The APC governors under the umbrella of Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) in a statement made available to the media in Abuja Saturday said the deceased has contributed immensely to the development of Nigeria’s legal system and was a great influencer of Kwara state politics.

A commiseration message signed by the PGF chairman and govermor of Kebbi state, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku Bagudu said  Alhaji Abdulganiyu Folorunsho Abdulrasaq SAN (OFR)  lived a life well blessed and will remain a shinning example to many politicians.

“His demise is a loss to the Nigerian Progressive Community and indeed the entire nation.

“We, the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), commiserate with our brother, H. E. Governor Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq, people and government of Kwara State and the nation on this sad loss and pray for the repose of the soul of our dear and beloved  father and statesman, Alhaji Abdulganiyu Folorunsho Abdulrazaq, Mutawalin Ilorin and Tafidan Zazzau.

“We pray to God Almighty to grant the family the fortitude to bear this heavy loss.

“May Allah reward all the good work of our dear father, forgive his limitations and bless what he left behind. Amin

Rest in peace Alhaji Abdulganiyu Folorunsho Abdulrazaq!” the statement read in part.
