Taiwo, Akabueze on target in Europa tie

Ex-Eagles stars Taye Taiwo and Chukuma Akabueze were both on target for their respective clubs to advance to the next round of the UEFA Champions League on Thursday.
Taiwo opened scoring for HJK Helsinki in a 1-1 draw with Atlantas of Lithuania for the Finnish club to advance to the next round of the competition on a 3-1 aggregate.
Taiwo scored from the penalty spot after half an hour, before the visitors equalized after 76 minutes with compatriot Nnamdi Oduamadi, who is on loan from AC Milan, starting from the bench.
Akabueze came off the bench to score an equaliser for Odd Grenland of Norway after five minutes at Mariehamn of Finland.
Odd sailed to the next stage on a 3-1 aggregate as a result.
In another Europa League qualifier, unknown Nigerian midfielder Solomon Udo featured for Shirak of Armenia as they beat FC Dila Gori of Georgia on penalties after aggregate scores stood at 1-1.
