Why You Must Not Wait For Tomorrow by Wole Arisekola

Day dreaming is nothing better than waiting for things to happen magically. Our greatest glory they say is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail.

There is this widely acceptable belief among parents and religious leaders that one’s tomorrow or future will always be better than the present.

Meanwhile some have waited frivolously for a better tomorrow to the extent of growing grey hair and a tomorrow filled with fulfilment of all hope and promises of beautiful things never comes. As we grow older and wiser, we realized the tomorrow is now and we need to act immediately.

This curiosity must have led International journalist and public opinion commentator and speaker, Wole Arisekola, to come to the conclusion and advice that we should all channel our energy towards productive ventures that will ultimately give us the expected result rather than wait perpetually for a tomorrow that seems lost in eternity.

Wole Bowale Arisekola, publisher of Street Journal Magazine and Chairman, Association of Online Media Practitioners of Nigeria (AMPON) says; “To my brothers and Sisters in Nigeria.

I want you to save your time, energy and STOP arguing with a fool, onlookers may not be able to tell the difference. Never argue with an idiot.

They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience. It is difficult to free fools from the chains they are tied to.

Because they have nothing to lose. Some old Nigerian men continually praise the time of their youth. In fact, you would almost think that there were no fools in their days, but unluckily they themselves are left as an example.

Please save your energy on something important and do not engage yourself in unproductive argument with an educated illiterate.

What they will end up telling you is to wait and be patient that tomorrow will be better as if they are the maker of tomorrow. Anyway, Tomorrow is only found in the calendar of fools”.
