82 Division Army Chief Imam urges Muslims to exhibit exemplary character

The Chief Imam of 82 Division of Nigerian Army, Enugu, Lt.-Col. Abubakar Tahir has advised Muslim faithful to exhibit exemplary moral character in their dealings.

He gave the advice while delivering a sermon at the Eid-el-Kabir prayers held at the Division’s idi prayer ground on Tuesday.

Tahir urged them to be of good character always to reflect the Islam they profess, stating that the prophets of Almighty Allah (God) always portrayed forthrightness and righteousness always.

“As Islam has taught us, we must be good and patriotic citizens.

“You should ensure you train your children properly for them to imbibe good moral character as exemplified by Islam and the prophets,” he said.
