Zimbabwe’s first lady in ‘$1.4m diamond ring row’
Spashed across the front page of Zimbabwe’s Independent newspaper this morning is a report that Zimbabwe’s first lady Grace Mugabe is being sued about an order she reportedly placed for a very expensive diamond ring:
The story goes on to say that Mrs Mugabe “had indicated her husband wanted to buy the ring for their 20th wedding anniversary”.
The ring was ordered from a dealer in Dubai through a businessman.
It appears to be a complex case involving allegations that include one of her sons and her bodyguard.
