We’ll use ITF to fight recession, says Director-General
Newly appointed Director General of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), Joseph Ari, has said the Fund under his leadership will be used to fight the present economic recession facing the country “through a faithful implementation of its mandates and programmes”
Ari who was appointed to the position last Monday by President Muhammadu Buhari spoke yesterday at the fund’s headquarters in Jos while taking over the mantle of leadership of the organisation
He said: “I thank Mr president for the appointment. For me,it is a home coming and an act of God.It is also an opportunity to further unite the ITF family. Nigeria remains the giant of africa despite recession.we will get out of recession through faithful implementation of ITF mandate and programmes.Other countries of the world like Japan,America,Brazil who had experienced recession in their countries used agencies similar to ITF to achieve success through skill development and acquisition of their citizens . A lot is expected from us and we can not afford to betray the mandate.we will be transparent and accessible to all in carrying out our mandate”
