The United States Agency for International Development (USAID), has donated a Peugeot 307 station wagon to the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) to enhance monitoring and inspection of health facilities in the territory.
According to USAID, the vehicle would also promote availability of health commodities to healthcare facilities, as well as boost the health standard of living of FCT residents.
Presenting the vehicle to the FCT Health and Human Services Secretariat (FCT-HHSS), in Abuja last week, the USAID Deputy Country Director, Technical, Mr. Kehinde Otto, pledged that the agency would continue to assist the administration to improve health services in the territory.
Responding on behalf of the administration, the secretary of HHSS, Mallam Adamu Bappah, promised to ensure the judicious use of the vehicle to strengthen the logistics management coordinating unit of the secretariat.
While thanking USAID for the gesture, Bappah pledged that the vehicle would be used for the purpose it was meant for.
