Tottenham Wins 2025 UEFA Europa League

Tottenham Hotspur ended a 17-year trophy drought in dramatic fashion, defeating Manchester United 1–0 in the 2025 UEFA Europa League Final at San Mamés Stadium in Bilbao.

The lone goal came from Brennan Johnson, whose calm finish in the 58th minute sent the North London club into euphoria.

It marked Spurs’ first European silverware since the 1984 UEFA Cup, and their first major trophy since winning the League Cup in 2008.

Son Heung-min, Tottenham’s long-serving forward and captain, raised the trophy in front of a sea of traveling supporters—many of whom were overcome with emotion after decades of near-misses and rebuilding.

Tottenham’s manager, Ange Postecoglou, hailed the achievement as “a turning point” for the club. “We’ve built something special this season, and this is just the beginning,” he said.

The victory also guarantees Spurs a spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League, adding a competitive and financial boost as they prepare for a packed summer transfer window.
