Tinubu commissions firefighter facility at ATBU, Bauchi
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has on Wednesday, commissioned a firefighter station at the Gubi campus of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi.
Represented by Minister of State for Regional Development, Hon Uba Maigari Ahmadu, the President urged the university community to take ownership of the project, emphasizing that this ensures accountability and appreciation for government efforts.
He therefore urged the management of the university to take ownership of the station, including all other projects undertaken and delivered by the Northeast Commission.
Also speaking, the Managing Director /CEO of NEDC, Mohammed Alkali Goni, said the project was necessitated by the need to save life and property in the case of any fire disaster within the University Community.
He urged the Management of the University to maintain the facility in order to achieve the set objectives of the project.
