Thembi Shilenge: Life of Crypto Force
From a modest beginning as a girl born in the Mmakaunyane village in the North West Province of South Africa, Thembi Portia Shilenge (better known without her middle name) has risen steadily over the years to become somebody of substance.
She had left her native home after graduating in 2010 from Mabopane Secondary School.
With a university education and training as a chemical engineer at Tshwane University of Technology in 2012, she did not put all her eggs in one basket but worked hard at acquiring more knowledge and skills by attending Sage Pastel Accounting Academy in 2015. The knowledge she acquired would serve her in the nearest future in her quest for a more fulfilling life.
Thembi Shilenge, thereafter, kickstarted her career courtesy of her chemical engineering qualification working in such positions as a plant operator, water process controller and other technical designations with companies such as Amalunga Minerals, ChromTech Holdings, Kroondal Platinum Mine, Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality and SABMiller Plc.
Being a chemical engineer, however, did not help Thembi Shilenge much. Therefore, she had no misgivings about switching her career when she became a Sales Representative for an insurance company called Metropolitan, in Pretoria.
From there, she launched herself into a new world of crypto mining, trading and investment.
A look at the companies where she worked gives a clear picture of how she ended up as an authority and a prominent figure in the cryptocurrency community in South Africa and Africa at large.
Without leaving any gap in the building of her track record, Thembi Shilenge worked with many companies with her experience at times overlapping including Atlantic Global Asset Management LP, BitClub Network, Questra World, NEXUS Global Limited, Learning Enterprises Organisation Ltd and Binance (where she is presently working since 2016) while at the same time, she functions as President of Novus, an automated forex trading and cryptocurrency trading investment platform, founded last year before the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic.
