A Kano High Court has stopped the celebration of the New Yam Festival (Iwaji 2020) in Kano following a court order by Justice Farouk Lawan Adamu. The new yam festival celebrated by the Igbos was halted on Sunday as security officials prevented the organisers from staging the event. Daily Times
