Stop Spreading lies About me, Senator Uba tells Uwajeh

Senator Andy Uba, representing Anambra South senatorial district in the 8th Assembly, has asked the  self-acclaimed private investigator, Victor Uwajeh of spreading falsehood against him.

Senator Uba who also debunked claims by Uwajeh that he was after his life warned him to desist from maligning his name.

Uba who wondered why Uwajeh have resorted to targeting his reputation, career and life through the spread of scandalous falsehood against him stated that his family are seriously embarrassed and outraged at these false and injurious publications against his academic qualifications.

Uwajeh, a self aclaimed private investigator‎ had about two weeks ago alleged that Senator Uba is after his life because of the allegation he raised that Senator Uba forged his academic certificate.

But the senator, through his aide, Chief Chike Okeke‎, in a statement made available to newsmen described Uwajeh’s allegation as unfounded adding that they are false and misleading.

He said, “We want to state in categorical terms that these allegations are unfounded, false, misleading; and refuted and denied by Senator Emmanuel Andy Uba.

“Contrary to Mr. Victor Osita Uwajeh’s vilifying claim, he was never at any time or event engaged by Senator Emmanuel Andy Uba to deal with anybody or government agency in U.K and US on his behalf‎.

“The Distinguished Senator and family are seriously embarrassed and outraged at these false and injurious publications against his academic qualifications”.

He said his boss observed that Uwajeh first came out with the allegation of fake West African Examination Council (WAEC) certificate ‎after his boss declared his intention to contest the last governorship election in the state.

‎”However, it has become necessary to refute these bunch of falsehood and confront Mr. Victor Osita Uwajeh by all civil and lawful means. For purposes of rebuttal and clarifying these allegations, Senator Emrnanuel Andy Uba was a Special Assistant to former President Olusegun Obasanjo between 1999 to 2007.

“He was also a former governor of Anambra state. He is presently serving as a two-time Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District.

“For the avoidance of doubt, in all of Senator Emmanuel Andy Uba’s private and political career, he has consistently used the WAEC Certificate obtained from Union Secondary School, Awkunanaw, Enugu in1974 with Examination No: 05465/089; his degree certificate from Carolina State University, Los Angeles for the award of Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Urban Analysis and his certificate of Honorable Doctorate Degree in Public administration from Nnamdi University, Awka”, he said.
