S’Korea records 438 new coronavirus cases, three more deaths
South Korea, on Thursday reported another major increase in infections of the new coronavirus, with figures showing 438 new cases and three more deaths, bringing the total to 5,766 and death toll 35.
According to the Korea Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC), the majority of the cases, including 407 of the latest ones, were concentrated in the South-Eastern city of Daegu and the surrounding North Gyeongsang Province.
Resident doctors in Kaduna begin industrial action
Most of the infections are linked to followers of a Christian sect in Daegu, which has a population of around 2.5 million, and to a hospital in Cheongdo.
