Shiite attack: Victim sues FG, asks court to declare IMN terrorist organisation

A victim of Shiite attack, Sunday Attah, has sued the federal government before a federal high court in Abuja seeking an order to compel government to declare the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) (Shiite group) a terrorist organisation.
In an exparte motion dated August 29th, 2018, filed through his counsel, Chief Amobi Nzelu, Attah asked the court for leave to apply for the issuance of an order of mandamus compelling the respondents (Attorney-General of the Federation and the Inspector -General of Police) to proscribe or categorize the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (Shiite movement) as a terrorist organisation.
In an affidavit to the suit, marked FHC/ABJ/930/2018, the plaintiff said the sect has constituted itself into a body that wilfully disobey the law, assault non-members and cause nuisance to other road users.
