Senate Presidency: Benue Gov-Elect Solicits Support for Akume
Benue State Governor-elect, Chief Samuel Ortom, has called on Benue people to embark on fervent prayers so that Sen. George Akume would emerge as Senate President.
Chief Ortom made the call in Makurdi, while addressing thousands of supporters, who thronged to his residence to welcome him back from China.
Chief Ortom stated that great benefits await the people of the state if, Akume emerged President of the Senate, as his administration would be disposed to partner with him for the development of the state.
He described Akume as a true democrat, who was responsive to the yearnings and aspirations of the people, particularly the down-trodden.
