Senate confirms Justice Tanko Mohammad CJN

The Senate has confirmed the nomination of Hon. Justice Ibrahim Tanko Mohammad as the Chief Justice of Nigeria.
His confirmation came after been screened by the upper legislative house at plenary Wednesday afternoon.
During a short grill by the Senate, Mohammad promised a more focussed under his leadership.
The CJN called on the legislature to help strengthening the judiciary by amending existing laws to create room for a vibrant judicial system.
