Senate Presidet, Dr. Bukola Saraki, on Wednesday led others senators to visit the embattled Senator Dino Melaye at the National Hospital, Abuja.
The development was sequel to adoption of a resolution to adjourn plenary to go to the hospital to assess his state of health and possibly to suggest a better medical facility if his condition is not improving.
Melaye, who is said to be under intensive care at the Trauma Centre of the the hospital was brought in at about 11 pm on Tuesday by the police after being evacuated from a private facility at Zankli Hospital where he was taken to immediately he was rescued from the police at Area 1 in Abuja metropolis.
The senators were about to round up plenary when a team earlier sent to visit him led by Deputy Senate leader, Senator Ibn Na’Allah came in and briefed the whole house.
Na’Allah told his colleagues that they were not allowed to see Melaye but there was a standing instruction that both Senators Baba Kaka Gabai and Abu Ibrahim could be allowed to see him.
