Gov Obiano presents Certificate of Recognition to two royal fathers

Aambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, has presented Certificate of Recognition to two elected traditional rulers in the state.

They are the traditional ruler of Nkpologwu, Agụata Local Government Area, HRH Igwe Moses Obijikwa Okpalanwaka and the traditional ruler of Isulo, HRH Igwe Chike Mmaduka.

Governor Obiano made the presentations at the Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia.

Performing the function, Gov Obiano charged them to uphold integrity and use the traditional stool to enshrine peace in their various communities.

The Governoor urged them to embrace the Community Policing Initiative and forward names of special Constables to Police Commissioner in the state.

On his part, Commissioner for Local Governments and Chieftaincy Matters, Mr. Greg Obi commended Governor Obiano for ensuring existence of peace in every community.

Greg Obi noted that the electoral process in Nkpologwu community was peaceful, as it was a unanimous decision of the people.

He said: “Governor Obiano has demonstrated excellence in his style of governance. He has never allowed vacuum in the traditional institution.

“So this is in continuation of his mode of governance to avoid vacuum. If everyone should emulate the system of electing traditional rulers in Nkpologwu community, there would always be peace”.

Obi however stressed that Governor Obiano’s intervention had restored peace and unity in Isulo community.

Also speaking, the traditional ruler of Okpuno, Igwe Sunday Okafor, urged the traditional rulers to ensure a peaceful community and support the present administration of Gov Obiano to attract more development.
