Residence cries out over unlawful use of firearms

An appeal to the police from Chief Oluwaremilekun Aina Shobote , the Alase of Oke Eletu under Ijede Local Government, Ikorodu, Lagos has gone out over the continued harassment of some people who claimed they are the authentic owner of a certain portion of land in Ijede area of Ikorodu which has led to many violence attack recorded in the area
Even though a petition has been written and sent to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, IGP X Squad Abuja over the matter on 5th of October and acknowledgement sent back to the complainant (a copy of which was presented to Daily Times), yet the old man is not taken things with lightheartedness .
According to Chief Shobote while addressing newsmen on the matter one Mr Toyin Taiwo Olokun approached him some years back for a portion of land at Oke Eletu to be used as meeting venue, though Shobote younger brother said no but he went ahead and consented and gave the land to Toyin “But contrary to his initial request he actually turned the place to meeting point of Ogboni Awopa. Toyin and his friends Biodun Nofiu Afereji,Niyi Ajayi,Sariyat iya Agan,Yiga Saka,kuye kasumu and Monsuru Bobo bread came with their cult members three weeks ago even with police men from area N ,they beat me up, they brought video recorder and forced me to sign papers that I have sold the land to them even in the presence of the police.
When they left, many youths in my area said they want to retaliate but I told them I will rather go by the law. My lawyer wrote petition to Alagbon and the approval of the petition was submitted to area N in Ikorodu but to my surprise the same area N police came to my house in the night alongside Biodun Nofiu and some cult members, I opened the gate for them because I saw police with them but right in the presence of the police these people beat us up ,broke my house and police took us including 4 year and 8 year old children even a pregnant woman to area N but release my children on bail that night after collecting some money. So the next day which was Wednesday IG monitoring unit came from Alagbon and told area N police to report at Alagbon the next day.
I want Lagos state government to save me from this Biodun Nofiu ,he is a thug parading himself as regent, but he grabs land by force even the land I gave out for town hall he has sold most portion of it.
Meanwhile the police through ACP Usmar A.K. Umar principal Staff Officer to inspector General of Police while acknowledging the petition which was dated 5th of October, 2017 warned both parties to desist from turning the peaceful town to a violence city as police will not take it lightly with who ever want to tamper with the security and safety of citizen “I must state here that whoever is involve in this illegal issue will be brought to book, but that does not mean anyone should take the law into their hands. Police will not take it that lightly” ACP Usmar Umar told the journalist in a brief statement.
