President of the Senior Staff Club of the University of Ibadan, Dr. Bisi Crown Olawuyi, has urged the Oyo State governor, Engineer Oluwaseyi Makinde, to begin legacy projects of impactful governance based on needs assessment.

According to a release personally signed and issued on Sunday, the Dr. Olawuyi said the Senior Staff Club, University of Ibadan identified with the successes recorded, thus far, by Governor Makinde who is also a member of the Club, while asking him to use his renewed mandate to redouble his efforts toward ensuring a productive economy and adequate security in the state.

According to president of the club, “the governor should be wary of advisers who may mislead him into believing that he no longer needs the people for electoral support again; he should rather work for the people and reposition the state to rank tops in good things among the comity of states.”

Specifically, the president of the Senior Staff Club, UI stressed the need for revamping education, deepening qualitative healthcare delivery, fast-tracking a safe and secure environment for the growth of the economy and diversification of the economy for improved revenue generation.

Olawuyi noted that while the renewed mandate was an attestation of the trust that electorate reposed in the re-elected governor, it was important that he continued to be open to progressive ideas that were capable of turning Oyo State into poster state of good governance and development.
