Special Adviser to the Kogi state governor on Security Commodore Jerry Omodara (rtd) told Daily Times that some of the Boko Haram suspects now in the custody of the Directorate of State Services (DSS) were among those that escaped from the cell when their members attacked the security facility and many escaped.
Commodore Omodara stated that the state government with the aid of the current battle ready security outfit comprising soldiers, police, civil defence and other volunteers, the state will be rid of criminals.
It will be recalled that recently the Commander Army Records Lokoja, Brigade General Henry Ayamzomozowei, paraded 17 among whom were six Boko Haram while the remaining eleven were armed robbers and kidnappers.
“Investigation is ongoing on the remaining terrorists and as it is concluded, they will be charged to court while the government is not relenting to ensure total victory over those that escaped from Sambisa forest,” Commodore Omodara said.
