PTAD Completes Payment of July 2017 Monthly Pension

The Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) has said that it has concluded the payment of July 2017 monthly pensions of pensioners under the Defined Benefit Scheme (DBS).

In a statement made available to The Daily Times on Friday by its Deputy Director of Communication , Mr Emma Okondo, PTAD said that a total of 237,306 persons were paid.

According to the statement, 98,362 were paid under Parastatals Pension Department (PaPD) while 16,111 were paid under Police Pension Department (PPD).

The Directorate stated that 110,753 were paid under Civil Service Pension Department (CSPD) while 12,080 pensioners were paid under Customs Immigration Prisons Pensions Department (CIPPD).

PTAD said, “This development will sustain the momentum for preparation of the planned verification of Civil Service pensioners in the South West and North Central Zones.”

The Executive Secretary, Sharon Ikeazor, therefore, assured pensioners that the exercise was meant to upscale accurate, credible and digitized database of pensioners.

Ikeazor added that the Directorate is committed in keeping its promise of making prompt payment to pensioners as at when due.
