Police warn non-travellers to keep off Lagos airport

In preparation for the opening of airports in the country, the Airport Police Command, Ikeja, has warned non-travellers to stay away from the airport.

Spokesperson for the command, Joseph Alabi, gave the warning in a statement issued on Thursday in Lagos.
“Anyone who is not travelling should not come to the airport as it will not be business as usual.
“The command has put machinery in place to deal with anyone caught and who cannot explain his mission within the airport environment,” he said.
Alabi also said that touts within the airport are prohibited and plainclothes personnel would arrest anyone caught touting within the airport vicinity.
He advised all intending travellers to endeavour to be within the airport on time, to undergo all travel processes that need to be done before the departure of their flights.
The police spokesman said travellers should also adhere strictly to all rules in relation to distance spacing, use of face masks and hand sanitizers provided at the arrival and departure halls.
