Police arrest Togolese killer cook

The Togolese cook, Sunday Anani who allegedly murdered the Chairman of Credit Switch Technology, Chief Opeyemi Bademasi has been arrested by the Police in Ondo State.

Anani who had been employed by the deceased had allegedly killed him barely three days after assuming duty at Chief Bademasi’s resident in No.3A Onikoyi Lane residence, Parkview estate, Ikoyi.

According to the Lagos State Police Command that had declared the suspect wanted following his disappearance after the act, the suspect was arrested on Friday at about 9:30 am at Yaba area in Ondo town, Ondo state.

Confirming the arrest, the Lagos Command Public Relations Officer, CSP Chike Oti said, “The fleeing cook, later identified as Sunday Anani, 22 years of age, was arrested by homicide detectives attached to State Criminal Investigation And Intelligence Department (SCIID) Panti Street, Yaba, is right now undergoing interrogation.

“Recall that CP Lagos had earlier promised Lagosians that the suspect will be arrested to face the law; that the suspect can only run but not hide, now assures that at end of the investigation, the Command, in its usual manner, will give the public detail by detail account of how the suspect committed the crime.”

Also an officer of the Lagos State Police Command State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Homicide Section said the cell phone of the suspect was tracked which led to his arrest.
