Past govts have fail to give priority to the people like the Buhari’s govt- Masari

Katsina State governor, Aminu Bello Masari has accused the previous administrations in the country of failing to give needed attention to the welfare of the people.
Masari said no past government, whether federal or state, can boast of the kind of people-oriented programmes that are being implemented by the current federal administration of the APC.
The governor made this assertion when Trade organisations in the state organised a rally in front of the Government House to show support for Buhari and Masari’s government as part of activities to mark the 30th anniversary of the state’s creation.
According to him, under Buhari, farming that used to be a no-go area for many Nigerians had suddenly become lucrative, with many farmers making huge returns on their investment.
He said the current Federal Government had been able to put corruption in check, with hundreds of millions in stolen money already recovered or in the process of being refunded.
“Some of the people that stole from our commonwealth have accumulated so much that they, their children and children’s children would not be able to finish it.
“The good thing is that with Buhari’s anti-corruption policy, these looters would find it difficult to steal again; they would not be able to use their stolen wealth to forment trouble, and they should be ready to pay back the money in the here and hereafter.”
Masari said his administration and that of many others in the country are solidly behind Buhari in the implementation of policies and programmes that have positive bearing on the lives of the people.
The governor, who commended the Buhari administration for proscribing the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), however called on Nigerian’s to continue to pray for such incident to be averted in the future.
He however commended the state governors in the South East for their efforts to address the IPOB issue as well as working for the protection of Northerners during clash between military operatives and some IPOB members in the region.
