PDP presents Governorship flags to Adebutu, Makinde, Agbaje

*APC is govt of cabals – Secondus *Adebutu commends PDP leadership The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Friday presented the party’s flag to three governorship candidates: Oladipupo Adebutu (Ogun), Oluseyi Makinde (Oyo) and Olujinmi Agbaje (Lagos) who was represented by his running mate, Hajia Halimat Oluwayemisi Busari at PDP National secretariat, Abuja. The presentation was supposed to be done at the South West zonal rally held by the PDP Presidential Campaign Council in Ibadan on Thursday. National Chairman of the party, Prince Uche Secondus said President Buhari is not in charge of administration but ruling by proxy while the cabal in the Presidency controls the government. He said, this is the reason why Nigerians should vote out such government and install a people oriented government under the administration of the PDP. “This is a government of cabals, Nigerians will reject them in 2019, because they don’t even know who is their president, who is in charge whether the cabal because the president seems to know nothing. “We challenge the president to campaign, not by proxy, not by cabal. “Nigerians are wise, this is president that does not communicate, he only when he goes outside Nigeria. Nigerians are confused and cannot understand him and yet he said he’s coming back, to do what?” He said. The chairman asked President Buhari to order the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies to be neutral. Speaking about Buhari, he said “you are not talking to Nigerians, you can’t persuade them, you can’t order the security agencies, you can’t order INEC. The president should be bold to call the INEC chairman and security agencies to order” Specifically talking on the Ogun candidate, Secondus said Adebutu has the backings of all the organs of the party as PDP governorship candidate in Ogun State. “He went through all the processes from the beginning to the end. I signed his form, the National Secretary signed his form and the form was duly submitted to INEC. And by the grace of God, he will Ogun State”, he said. By presenting the flag to him, the chairman said Adebutu has the mandate of the party to commence his campaign while the court process continues. The Ogun governorship candidate, Adebutu commended the leadership of the party for positioning it to take over government from APC in 2019 “As a rebranded party I have seen a new PDP that am proud of, I am certain that PDP is destined by God to deliver the nation from the problems that we are currently going through. “We cannot but elucidate on the journey that brought us thus far. You have shown very clearly even in our history in nearly 20 years that with time and with determination we are able to administered ourselves well. The Bible say remove the mole from your eyes before you remove speck from another man’s eye. “For parties that are not capable of administering, then such a party cannot administer a nation. PDP has shown clearly that we have the capacity to administer ourselves well. We have done so and we have had processes throughout the nation that everybody should be proud of”, he said. The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan in a statement said this presentation “puts to rest all controversies, uncertainties and misgivings regarding the authentic governorship candidate of the PDP in Ogun state. “Ladi Adebutu was duly elected as the PDP candidate in the primary conducted by the National Working Committee (NWC), the only body empowered to conduct such primaries, and his name and particulars have since been duly submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) by the leadership of the party. “All PDP members, supporters and the general public should, by this declaration, completely disregard, as an impostor, any other person parading himself as the PDP governorship candidate in Ogun state, as only Ladi Adebutu is our flag bearer and Governorship candidate in Ogun State”. He said Ladi Adebutu, has already commenced his campaigns and is widely accepted by the people of Ogun state, who have expressed their readiness to freely give him the mantle of leadership at the 2019 election. The PDP therefore cautioned “all fifth columnists trying to cause confusion within its fold in Ogun state, particularly those already identified as working for the APC, to desist from such acts in the general interest”.
