PDP House of Rep Candidate Clinches Victory in Delta
Hon. Mrakpor Onyemechi, of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has been declared winner of the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency in the just concluded general elections in Delta State.
Hon. Mrakpor slugged it out with Ngozi Okolie, of Accord Party with a crushing support of 58, 330 against 15, 238 votes.
Hon. Mrakpor would take-over from Ndudi Elumelu, at the Lower Chambers of the National Assembly.
The Returning Officer, Engr. Dr. Christopher Okechukwu Iziolu said he was satisfied with the conduct of the elections that coasted victory
to the PDP candidate.
Hon. Mrakpor however thanked God, for her party (PDP) and the people of her federal constituency for reposing such a heavy trust on her.
She said her victory has proved to the people that she was on ground and have affected her people positively while serving as the member of the Delta State House of Assembly in the last eight years.
The House of Representatives elect said her people had always believed in her hence she didn’t lost out of any of the local government, units and 42 wards that makes up the constituency.
She expressed joy that she has become the first female from the federal constituency to go to the House of Representatives andpromised to extend a hand of fellowship to those who lost out of the race.
