Osinbajo Can’t Win South West For APC- PDP Leader
A Chieftain of the Peoples’ Democratic Party and former Special Adviser to the President on Social Development and Special Duties, Hon Kunle Yusuf yesterday declared that the Vice Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Yemi Osinbajo cannot win the South West geo Political zone for the APC.
Rather, Hon Yusuf stressed that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will vote massively for the President considering the development witnessed in the region since Jonathan assumed office as President.
Yusuf in a chat with newsmen in Osogbo, Osun state capital yesterday berated the APC Presidential candidate, General Muhamodu Buhari who he said does not have any synergy with the people of the South West region.
According to him “Buhari from all indications have no synergy with the people of the South West geo political zone of the country, so also, Osinbajo. Osinbajo does not have what it takes to win any of the states in the South West for the APC.”
He stressed that Prof. Osinbajo has no synergy with the people of the South West, descring him as a product of political favourism.
He hinted that all youths in the South West have been sensitized on the need to support Jonathan, just as he disclosed that efforts are on top gear to sensitize all the people of the region on the need to support President Jonathan in the forthcoming polls.
Yusuf, who frowned at the recent allegation that President Jonathan bribed some traditional rulers in the South-west to gain their support, lamented that the allegation, which he said emanated from the APC was baseless.
He said the traditional rulers in Yoruba land were impressed with the developments recorded in the region courtesy of the Jonathan’s administration, hence their resolve to endorse him and blessed his aspiration.
He said no traditional ruler in the region was bribed by Jonathan or any of his cabinet member, stressing that the President has done much to gain the support of every individual in Nigeria, including the monarchs.
