Oshimili South assembly seat splits Asaba political elites

The struggle for Oshimili South assembly seat in the Delta state House of Assembly has split political elites in Asaba where the two strong contenders hail from.

The two Asaba indigenes vying to represent Oshimili South Constituency at the state House of Assembly are on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressive Congress (APC).

Both candidates, Isioma Ndah of the All Progressive Congress (APC) a well- known daughter of Asaba and her counterpart in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Rapu Shedrack commands a large followership.

It was gathered that loyalists and supporters of the two candidates are currently at war and have clashed severally over who wins the single constituency seat.

Addressing the two candidates, the Iyase of Asaba, (prime minister), Chief Patrick Onyeobi commended them for their manifesto, charging them to be civil in the contest and to not engage in violence.
