The Ondo State House of Assembly on Thursday passed the state’s 2015 Budget.
Members unanimously adopted the report and passed the recommendations of its Committee on Finance and Appropriation and adjourned sittings until the May 5, 2015.
This year’s budget was increased from N130bn to N131bn.
Vice Chairman of the Committee, Victor Akinwe, who presented the budget report, the said the committee made a careful scrutiny of the document, rejecting a number of requests made by Ministries, Departments and Agencies.
He said, “The committee extremely itself from granting further requests by MDAs except in a few critical areas, which resulted in additional N1bn only.
The details of the budget reveals a recurrent expenditure of N76.706bn and a capital projection of N54.297bn out of which N7.68bn is allocated to the Ondo State Oil Producing Area Development Commission for its capital expenditure.
