A ministerial nominee from Delta State, Hon. Stella Okotete, has distanced herself from alleged maligning of another nominee from the state, Festus Keyamo.

She described as a  lies from the pit of hell, a viral video circulating in the social media made by a group called; “Niger Delta Youth Coalition”, in which  a lady was seen speaking harshly, insinuating that Okotete’s nomination was substituted with that of Keyamo.

She also denied knowledge of other comments that tend to malign the personality of Festus Keyamo , SAN.

Hon. Stella Okotete condemned the activities of the group and disassociated herself completely from such “uncouth derogatory and unpalatable” remark made against the respected Chief Festus Keyamo SAN.

According to Hon. Okotete; “I have a robust and healthy relationship with Chief Festus Keyamo SAN as a big brother. At no time did I suspect that he is behind the temporary setback I encountered at the Senate. The derogatory remark against Keyamo is at best a product of the imagination of the group and it’s sponsors.”

Hon. Okotete therefore warned  the group to as a matter of urgency retract the  offensive comments in the viral video and apologize to the person of Chief Festus Keyamo in order not to create bad blood between her and Chief Keyamo.

While the politician appreciated and acknowledged the right of persons and groups to drum support in solidarity with her at this time, she however cautioned that such action must be done in a civilized manner that will not malign the character of anyone.

She expressed confidence in the Senate and the entire process while urging all her supporters to remain steadfast in their prayers as there will be light at the end of the tunnel.
