Okorocha’s younger brother carts away public property in Owerri

Some vigilant Imo citizens on Thursday chased away Mr. Jude Okorocha, the younger brother of the outgoing Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, from the Heroes Square area in Owerri, the state capital, where he led others to cart away Iron Sheets and Plastic Chairs among others belonging to the state government.
According to eye witness, at about 4pm, some Imo citizens discovered trucks loading properties at the Heroes Square venue of the former Imo Cenotaph Centre at Civic Centre area of the New Owerri.
Upon close observation, the earliest persons who arrived reported seeing Mr. Jude Okorocha, supposedly younger brother of the outgoing Imo Governor Rochas Anayo Okorocha.
According to him, while the youths shouted and called for attention of Imolites and security agents, they saw two trailer trucks leave the Square, fully loaded with Iron Sheets and Plastic Chairs.
The youths reportedly confronted the persons only to see the said Jude Okorocha who came with a Hilux Van also loaded with Plastic Chairs.
According to him, as the youths raised alarm, the said Jude Okorocha drove off from the scene.
One of the youths said: “I arrived the Heroes Square at 5:35pm and saw two trucks. One was a Hiab truck lifting and loading bounded iron sheets into a standing bye trailer truck. With the help of youths that gathered, the trucks were deflected and demobilised. Before the Police would arrive at the venue, the two truck drivers and those with them fled the venue.
“The Police came and saw the properties. They observed the rods being lifted, before they left. The Police asked all the youths gathered to go as they had commenced full investigation into the matter.
“The two demobilised trucks were still there while the gate was locked.
