Okorocha inaugurates 7-man special taskforce on roads in Mbaitoli LGA

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state has inaugurated a seven Man Special Taskforce on Roads and Infrastructure for Mbaitoli local government.

 

 Daily Times reports that the state Deputy Governor Prince Eze Madumere hails from the local government. It was gathered that the Deputy Governor had since packed out from the Government Lodge following his declaration to contest the 2019 polls in lmo.

 

Members of the taskforce include:  the Head of Service, Mr. Calistus Ekenze, the Chairman, Chinyere Uwandu, would serve as Secretary.

 

 Others are: Mr. Daniel Nwafor, Chief Ugochukwu Onwusereaka, Chuks Opara, Sunny Onuamegbu and Dan Iwuorie.

 

Inaugurating the taskforce at the Government House on Wednesday, the state governor also announced the release of N1billion to the taskforce, to that effect.

 

Okorocha also announced 35kilometers of roads for the local government for immediate construction in addition to the ones the local government had before now, especially during the rural road revolution of the Rescue Mission Government.

 

The governor charged the taskforce members not to let their people and the state in general down.

 

The Chairman of the taskforce, Mr. Ekenze assured the governor that they would live above board.
