Oil exploration: LG Chairman commends Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has been applauded for flagging off oil drilling in Alkaleri Local government area of Bauchi state. The Caretaker Chairman of Alkaleri Local Government area, Alhaji Abdulkadir Hamma Futuk who gave the commendation said that the project would boost the economy of the area, the state and the entire north east when completed. The chairman while describing the project as unprecedented in the state maintained that it would also provide job opportunities to the teeming unemployed people of Bauchi state. He called on the citizens to reciprocate the gesture by voting Buhari the second term so that the oil excavation would not be abandoned. “If Buhari is not re-elected, this gigantic project may be stopped. Therefore, people should vote wisely. They should vote Buhari for continuity”. He said. The chairman noted that on its part, the local government under his chairmanship had provided 20 water boreholes in various communities, renovated several healthcare centers and schools of the area within the short time he has been in the office. He stated that, “we are also doing our best in the area of providing water facilities to better the lives of our people. What we need from the electorate is reciprocity by voting President Buhari and Governor M. A Abubakar in the forthcoming general elections so as to consolidate on their laudable achievements”.
