President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday swore in former minister of state for defense, Mr. Musiliu Obanikoro as the minister of state for foreign affairs II.

Obanikoro, it would be recalled faced stiff opposition to his ministerial nomination and eventual clearance by senators of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) who challenged his nomination following his ‘alleged’ involvement in the use of military personnel to rig the Ekiti state elections.

Obanikoro was also a former ambassador to Ghana.
