NYSC members arrested for using naked pictures of ladies to extort money

Three members of the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) undergoing their mandatory service year in Ikaramu Akoko in Akoko North Local Government Area of Ondo State have been arrested.

The young boys were apprehended for allegedly sending nude pictures of ladies to the internet for extortions.

They were nabbed by the officers of the 32 Artillery Brigade of the Nigeria Army in Akure on Thursday.

The accused were caught in the habits of luring their girlfriends to hotels and asked them to be naked before filming their nudity and sending it on social media.

Having achieved their aim, the culprits would be demanding money from their victims (ladies) with threat.

A source who pleaded not to be named told Daily Times that the corps members always threat their victims to pay them in order to avoid exposing their nudity.

“Many ladies, including their colleagues who are also corps members have fallen victims of the suspects and they have been making money from it before they were eventually caught.

“They will invite their girlfriends to a hotel in Ikare Akoko and after making love with the ladies, they will be taking their pictures while naked.

“Some days after they will be demanding money from the ladies and they would threatened that if the ladies fail to give them the money, they will send their nude pictures to internet,” he said.

Major Ojo Adelegan, Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, who confirmed the arrest to journalists said.
Adelegan noted that the accused had been handed over to the security agency saddle with the main responsibility of prosecution.

He explained that the names of the culprits were being covered due to the ongoing investigations about the case.
“I can confirmed their arrest but they are no more with us they have been handed over to other security agency”.
