NPFL: Remo Stars Appoint Usman Abd’Allah as Technical Adviser

Remo Stars have appointed Usman Abd’Allah as Technical Adviser with immediate effect as the club seeks to reverse its poor run of form in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

The club announced the appointment in a statement, describing it as a significant step toward repositioning the team for improved performance.

“We are pleased to announce the appointment of Usman Abd’Allah as the Technical Adviser of the club.

“This appointment is with immediate effect as it is expected to mark a significant step in the club’s vision to elevate its performance,” the statement read.

The length of Abd’Allah’s contract was not disclosed.

Remo Stars are currently bottom of the Nigeria Premier League table with 27 points from 27 matches, having recorded just one win in their last 11 games.

The club expressed confidence that Abd’Allah’s experience at both club and national levels would help spark a turnaround.

Abd’Allah previously worked with the Super Eagles and has managed top domestic sides including Kano Pillars and Enyimba FC.

“Under his guidance, Enyimba reached the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup, narrowly losing to Morocco’s Raja Casablanca. He also led Enyimba to the NPFL title in the 2018/19 season,” the statement added.

The club noted that Abd’Allah’s blend of international exposure and deep knowledge of Nigerian football positions him well to lead the Sky Blue Stars.

Remo Stars said they look forward to improved performances and exciting moments under his leadership.

The club has yet to clarify how the appointment affects the role of current head coach Daniel Ogunmodede.

Ogunmodede guided Remo Stars to their first-ever NPFL title last season, and indications suggest he is expected to work alongside Abd’Allah as the team aims to regain its winning form.
