Nomination of Minister: Igalamela community commends Buhari
Igalamela community in Kogi State has commended President Muhammadu Buhari over the nomination of their illustrious son, professor Steven Ikani Ocheni as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Addressing a press conference yesterday in Lokoja, Chairman of Igalamela stakeholders forum, Mallam Shaibu Amodu who gave the commendation on behalf of the community, stated that they will remain grateful to president Muhammad Buhari for honour done to them
The community pledge the resolve of the people to continue to give their unflinching support to all the laudable policies and programmes of his administration.
“Igalamela community is particularly very happy with Mr President decisive stand against corruption and insurgency in the country” the chairman stressed.
He expressed the implicit confidence and belief that the nominee when finally confirmed by the Senate, will bring to bear his immense wealth of experience in the discharge of his responsibilities as a Minister.
According to the spokesman of the community “Igalamela community sincerely convey its heart felt appreciation to Governor Yahaya Bello for making it possible for our son to be nominated”.
The community therefore called on the citizens of Kogi State to join hands in the push for the subsequent confirmation of Professor Steven Ikani Ocheni by the Senate in order to fill the quota of the state at the Federal Executive Council.
