NNPC redeploys top officials

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has redeployed some top management staff members. It said the move was part of ongoing efforts to reposition the corporation for greater efficiency, transparency and profitability.
NNPC’s Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, Dr. Kennie Obateru, announced this in a statement on Sunday in Abuja.

Obateru said the redeployments and appointments were in line with the ‘Next Level Agenda’ of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.
He said that under the exercise, the Group General Manager, Crude Oil Marketing Division, Mr. Adokiye Tombomieye, has been appointed the new chief operating officer, upstream.
According to the statement, the Managing Director of the Nigerian Gas Marketing Company (NGMC), Mr. Mohammed Ahmed has been appointed the new chief operating officer, corporate services, following the retirement of Mr. Farouk Garba.
The chief operating officer, upstream, Mr. Adeyemi Adetunji, was redeployed to ventures and business development directorate as chief operating officer to replace Mr. Roland Onoriode Ewubare, who voluntarily retired last week.

Also, the Managing Director of the NNPC Retail Limited, Mr. Billy Okoye, replaces Tombomieye as the group general manager, crude oil marketing division.
He said that the General Manager, Sales and Marketing NNPC Retail Limited, Mrs. Elizabeth Aliyuda, now takes over from Okoye as managing director.
Obateru added that the Executive Director, Asset Management and Technical Services at the NGMC, Usman Farouk takes over from Mr. Ahmed as managing director.
Obateru also stated that President Buhari had accepted the resignation of Mr. Roland Ewubare and that of Mr. Farouk Garba, thanking the two former chief operating officers for their meritorious service to the corporation and the nation.
