NIN, BVN, others now embedded into National Identity Database – NIS
The Nigerian Immigration Service said efforts are ongoing to have all data of Nigerian citizens integrated into one.
The Comptroller-General of the Service, Muhammad Babandede, noted that the service has integrated the new passport with the National Identity Number (NIN),and Bank Verification Number (BVN) for this purpose.
He disclosed this on Thursday during the budget interface with the Senate Committee on Interior at the National Assembly Complex, Abuja.
Voice-based service launched to help visually impaired order food online
Babandede explained further that Nigerians who do not have National Identity Number, would not be issued international passport.
He said this will put an end to people having irregular and different data on their various national documents.
